The City of Palm Coast was incorporated in 1999 and as of 2006 is home to about 60 thousand residents. Palm Coast is conveniently located between Jacksonville (62 miles), the second largest populated city in Florida, and Daytona Beach (26 miles), the legendary capital of motorsports.

For example, Palm Coast is just a couple of hours from Cape Canaveral, where you can see for yourself the Space Shuttle and other wonders of technology. Speaking of wonders, world-famous theme parks and attractions are also nearby at the city of Orlando. A wonderful place to take the kids or a significant other, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sea World are just a few of the places to visit.
Local golf courses include Jack Nicklaus's Ocean Hammock Golf Course, Arnold Palmer's Pine Lakes Country Club and Matanzas Woods, named one of the best new resort courses by Golf Digest.
The most popular county beach is Flagler Beach known for its pier and nearby shops and restaurants. Malacompra County Park and Jungle Hut Road Park provide easy beach access to visitors and locals alike.
Tired of golfing, swimming and sightseeing? Hop on a cruise ship and sail to the Bahamas, Caribbean or Mexico. Cape Canaveral, Ft. Lauderdale and Miami are serviced by international cruise ship lines, including Royal Princess, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, etc..

A little history.
October 1, 2000 - All services officially transferred from Palm Coast Service District to the City of Palm Coast.
April 17, 2000 - The City hires its first city manager.
December 31, 1999 - The City of Palm Coast is officially incorporated.
September 1999 - Palm Coast voted to incorporate as a council/manager form of government.
1975 - Palm Coast Service District is established.
1969 - Palm Coast is developed by ITT Corporation.
